About
Brocante Antiques
Brocante Antiques (UK) was set up in 1988 when my
partner (Barry Dean) and I (Ray Gwilliams) started
trading in antiques, having been keen collectors for
many years. |
Initially we
exhibited and traded at a number of antique fairs and
exhibitions in the Surrey area, specialising in Art Noveau objects including lighting, and copper and brass
items (particularly W.A.S Benson), plus old Sheffield
plate, silver and porcelain.

Having been very successful
in attracting the more discerning UK client, in 1992 we
took the opportunity to purchase a very special antique
retail outlet in Oatlands Village near Weybridge in
Surrey (UK).
This is an early Victorian (1885) house with many
original features with two small showrooms connected by
a spiral staircase.

Brocante is a true
antiques shop and, unlike many
others, we have not dealt in reproduction of any kind.
We have maintained a loyal customer base throughout the
UK who appreciate our wide range of quality, best priced
antiques.
Extensive Range of Antiques
Acquiring these premises enabled us to expand our stock
to include fine English furniture covering the period
from 1750 to 1835 i.e. Georgian to William IV.
