The Revival Of A Traditional 18th Century Craft

Susan Benjamin, the founder of Halcyon Days, made a lifelong study of the history of English enamels. It was her collaboration in 1970 with a small factory in Bilston that brought about the renaissance of this traditional English craft. Bilston, situated near Birmingham in the UK, had been the principal centre for enamelling in Georgian times.

To this day Halcyon Days enamels, in keeping with their traditional ethos, exude craftsmanship, design and quality.
