The Hospice first opened in 1985 Over 19,500 patients have been referred to the Hospice since it opened Every year around 600 patients are cared for Over 40% of patients in the Hospice return home after receiving treatment Over 400 professional staff and trained volunteers enable patients & their carers to live fulfilling lives It now costs £320 per day for each in-patient

The Day Hospice opens 5 days a week Each year around 500 day patients, living in the community, are cared for Many complementary therapies & activities, as well as the chance to see a doctor Relatives & carers benefit from a break, even as short as a day, from the strain of looking after someone who is seriously ill It now costs £110 per day for each day-patient

The Hospice's services include:-A modern peaceful 26 bed in-patient unit with a welcoming atmosphere A day care centre with medical nursing and social facilities A Community Team who support the care of patients in their own homes Bereavement Counsellors who help people come to terms with the death of a loved one

Your help & assistance is sought as:- All our care is provided without charge to those concerned Our costs are £4million - £5million per year Only 20% of our funding is paid for by NHS grants We, therefore, rely heavily on the generosity of local people

Volunteers Please Help With TransportVolunteer drivers are required to assist with transporting day patients to our Day Hospice.

Join the Wey Voices for an evening of diverse
musical styles. Traditional and up tempo Christmas
Carols as well as solos and duets being performed by
this 18 strong choir. |

There will be traditional and up tempo Christmas
Carols as well as one based on a Bach harmonisation,
a 15th Century Carol, an old English tune and one
written for school children. Entry is free but there
will be a retiring collection for the Church
restoration fund and for this year, the Princess
Alice Hospice. Come and meet the singers after the
concert and enjoy mince pies and refreshments. |
