than a Deli - Meejana is also a top quality Café and

| We started Meejana as a reaction to the
difficulty there is in finding great food and wine. It
seems that the supermarkets only have the nicest things
once a year, but why shouldn't we have them all year
round? After all, we used to when we were young! |
| And so the idea for Meejana was born. |
| Over the next two years, we searched
high and low for some of the best products from around
the world. |

|
|
|
We have just added some fine foie gras d'oie to our list
of items available in the deli. Also joining the stock
are pastas from Italy, some heavenly Maxim's chocolates from Paris and a selection of
aperitif's from Denoix, a premier French spirits and
liquers house. |
|
Our croissants come straight from Paris each morning. |
|
Our teas are award winning and coffee is the finest
organic fair trade coffee. We also have some Elegant & English
biscuits as well as a selection of oat and wholemeal
Fine Cheese biscuits and quince and lime & chilli
relishes. |

The wine list is a small selection of some of the
finest examples of boutique wines from around the world - both Old
and New. Every wine, from the accessible house wine through to some
of the noble wines of the Old World, has been carefully chosen to
provide a balance to our wine list and to compliment the food in the
restaurant and the traiteur. You may find them surprisingly
affordable too!

These wines are not pretentious. They are just
great examples of their type, lovingly crafted by winemakers from
small vinyards, often using traditional methods. Our boutique wines
are made in small batches each year so there is a limited supply,
and each wine has a different story to tell. Our tasting notes
(which you will find at Meejana when you drop in) bring out the
pedigree or the quirkiness behind the wine and we will be more than
happy to celebrate the fine wines we have with you. |

Although our wine list is deliberately small at
Meejana, for private clients we have access to an extensive
selection of some of the most noble wines in the world and can
arrange private presentations and local home delivery. |
